You would think working hard and catching your breakfast would be something to be thankful for. That may not always be the case for a Bald Eagle. Oftentimes when one snatches a fish, others give pursuit, hoping to get an easy meal rather than catching it themselves.
In this sequence, a sub-adult eagle has caught a fish when a juvenile comes along and does its best to grab it from out of under it. The eagle with the fish was lucky enough to avoid the theft but soon found itself pursued by four others. Not the best of quality pics as the eagles were heavily backlit but still fun to see.
