A very pretty lady from some time in Colorado State Forest State Park last month. I’m not sure if this is a rufous or broad-tailed hummingbird but either way, she looked pretty danged good.
She was guarding our feeder, doing her best to keep the bounty to herself, and in doing so, gave me this nice, pleasing portrait. I haven’t had much luck at all with these little summer visitors this year. While we have a few that visit our yard, they seem to make themselves scarce when I show up. Haha.
