Bald eagle and snow covered Rocky Mountains. Yes!
Certainly I would have preferred more direct lighting on the front of this beautiful lady but as is, not too bad of a capture and I love the mountains in the background. This past Saturday was a pretty busy morning at this eagle nest with both the male and female doing a lot of flying and working on getting their home ready for the season. She had just attempted to deliver an 8-foot-long stick but lost her grip as she stopped part way back to the nest for a break.
I’ll try to remember to share the pics of her dropping it later but it was pretty amusing to watch – although I am sure she wasn’t happy about it. 😉
