
I don’t know what got them riled up, but this past Sunday some of the bison bulls were ridiculously rambunctious. Five of them were running and bounding around and going head-to-head fighting for a good 20 minutes or so. Best of all, the action was close – sometimes uncomfortably so – allowing for some fun captures of them.
Here, two of the massive beasts squared off. One used the advantage of having higher ground to use the other one, leaving it to scramble for footing during the onslaught. It was a crazy fun morning with our national mammal and a reminder of just how fast these guys can move and how big and strong they are.
