Camping in Grand County, Colorado this past weekend, moose were definitely on my wish list to photograph. They proved to be elusive with this big guy being the only notable encounter.
While it was technically a bit past sunrise, the Kawuneeche Valley in Rocky Mountain National Park was still quite dark as the sun had yet to hit the valley. That made for dim lighting and tough shooting conditions as I photographed this guy as he lazily grazed through the burn-scarred area. Nevertheless, he was impressive and made for a fun photo op.
