Such a cutie isn’t he? This is a captive eastern screech owl, one that I had an opportunity to photograph at a recent event. He was quite the poser and willing to give me some great looks.
While I have photographed screeches in the wild, they are extraordinarily difficult to find and it has been a few years since I had the chance so I was happy to have this chance. You can see how well they blend in with the environment.
