These two. My goodness! My friend and I just laughed and laughed at them.
A magpie was hanging around near the den, undoubtedly hoping to get some leftovers. This pair was very curious about the bird and brave – to a point.
They would slowly approach it and the second the magpie moved, the kits would run back to their den. Once the magpie stopped moving, they would approach again and then retreat the instant the magpie moved.
Back and forth it would go and it was so danged funny and cute to watch.
