Previously I shared a wider shot of this awesome buck with a double-beam antler. Here is a closer look at this handsome fellow. On this morning last month, he was hanging out and being unusually cooperative for photos, giving me some cool looks.
Double beam antlers are usually the result of damage to the pedicle that occurred in the spring when the antler was developing causing the main shaft to split in two. Pretty cool stuff!
