Harkening back to January for this capture of this pretty lady. The coyotes in a local open space were gearing up for mating season and making themselves readily available for pictures as a result.
One of the neighborhood homes had bunches of un-picked peaches leftover from the previous season that had just fallen to the ground. That made for a good chance for an easy meal for the coyotes – and a nice photo op for me.
After grabbing a fallen piece of fruit, this female ran across the road and ate it while I snapped away. Here, she pauses eating momentarily to keep an eye on a passing car.
