Well this was quite a surprise!
Coyotes are pretty common at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge but to see a pup, well, that was something unusual. This young one was hanging out in the road, soaking in the morning sun yesterday.
Unlike adult coyotes, it was pretty comfortable with my presence, allowing me a few captures before heading back home to its den. This is only the second time I have photographed a #coyote pup so it was a definite treat – and the little one was pretty danged cute!
