If only we were as free to move about as these guys, eh? This fantastic bald eagle is the male from my favorite nest, one that unfortunately failed this year.
This past weekend I caught up with the pair though a mile or so from the nest as they enjoyed a pleasant spring day along the river. Naturally they opted to put themselves to my south creating a pretty poor lighting situation for photography.
The pretty lady departed, something I failed to capture because I had my face in my phone. Thankfully, this handsome fellow waited a split second before following and gave me time to get my camera up to my face and snap some pictures as he flew 15 feet over my head.
Not the greatest quality of pic but the event was pretty exciting, something I never tire of.
