Holy moly! Quite a dramatic capture if I do say so myself.
This osprey and her mate have setup their home at a stand in suburbia. Threats abound for a nesting bird like this. Other raptors, humans and more all pose a threat. This is especially the case right now when she likely has just recently hatched little ones. Here, she has just leapt into action, guarding the nest and her chicks against a hawk that intruded on the airspace around them.
