Kind of a fun shot of this pretty lady. The males of this species get all the attention due to their extraordinarily color plumage. The females are more subdued but still pretty in their own right. This one had found itself a little crabapple floating on the pond and was trying to soften it up enough to eat it. Taken back in October.
