A fun treatment of this image I took this past weekend. After spending more than two hours sitting and staring at a field hoping our desired photo subject would appear, my friend and I gave up and headed for home. Not more than a couple miles down the road, he says, “I think I saw an owl.” So, we flipped around and came back, finding this gorgeous owl hanging out on a fallen log.
It gave us some nice shots then moved to a different area. Following, we were able to watch it hunt, dropping down into a field a couple of times attempting to catch a meal. I have never seen one do this in broad daylight so it was quite a treat. I hope you have a fantastic #Halloween. Beware those goblins and ghosts tonight!
