Northeast of Denver, Colorado this weekend I came across this very cool juvenile Bald Eagle. It was enjoying its breakfast which consisted of freshly caught prairie dog. After finishing one, it accidentally dropped it from the pole prompting it to fly down to see if it could retrieve it (it couldn’t). It then off and I moved on but returned only to find it had caught yet another one and was eating it as well. These are some pics of its first feeding. Perhaps a bit gruesome to some but this is wildlife and nature at work.
