Needing a break from my usual photo haunts, I headed to Colorado’s far northeastern plains yesterday in search of something different – or at least something in a different location. Unfortunately, the excursion didn’t yield much in the way of critters.
One of the few I photographed was this handsome pronghorn buck, out by itself in the vast openness of the plains. As is typical of the species, he didn’t linger for photos, pausing only briefly to give me a glance before running off.
