Seeing a Bald Eagle up close is a special experience. Witnessing one at relatively close range as they take flight is nothing short of extraordinary. Only then is can their sheer size, power and aggressiveness of this predator be appreciated. This image helps to capture some of that.
Nice lighting and a deep blue sky help accentuate the drama. The determined look on the eagle’s face, the gorgeous colors, the detail in the feathers and of course those deadly talons make this a pretty cool image IMHO. Taken in northeastern Colorado last weekend.
