Freedom Friday brings this picture captured this past Sunday in Jefferson County, Colorado. With the female dutifully sitting on the nest (hopefully on an egg), the male Bald Eagle snagged a rabbit road kill and brought it to its mate. While I missed the snatch, the male did fly by a couple of times before delivering the meal thus affording me a bunch of photo ops. Tons of fun for me – probably not so much for the rabbit.
