Mondays leave me feeling like I don’t know which way is up

That would appear to be the case with this ferruginous hawk too. 😀

Raptor season is arriving on the Colorado plains as hawks, falcons and eagles arrive for the winter. Among the highlights are always these cool hawks. They are the largest hawk in North America and are quite beautiful. Best of all, they are usually pretty tolerant of humans so you can get some cool pics of them.

This one was hanging out on a fence post Saturday and gave me a ton of poses. He gave some quizzical looks at a deer that came by and when its attention turned to me, it gave this fun look. I know I am kinda funny looking and I guess the hawk would agree. 😉
