A fun few images of this mated pair of red tailed hawks I photographed this past weekend. They were, initially, perched next to each other, posing quite nicely. Red tailed are quite common and usually skittish so oftentimes I don’t bother with them but I figured this was worth a shot. Well, sure enough, within seconds of stopping, they decided they didn’t want their picture taken. I did manage to get these old fingers moving quick enough though to capture some fun action shots as they took flight. The final shot is my favorite.
