A Freedom Friday launch! I’ve been anxiously waiting to share this very cool sequence from last weekend. This Bald Eagle is one of my usual subjects in Longmont, Colorado and he is almost always willing to put on a show. The past few visits though had been fruitless as he apparently had been hanging out elsewhere. That was initially the case as well on this day as he was nowhere to be found but just as I was about to give up, he flew in. After doing his usual routine of posing and preening, he was ready for breakfast and launched into the air – a sequence these images capture. He then flew across the lake, snagged a fish, and landed in a tree on the opposite side of the lake to eat.
