Red-winged blackbird sings the song of spring

You know the change of seasons are here when the calls of these birds fills the air. The male red-winged blackbird is common here in the warmer months in Colorado, usually in wetland areas. There, they stake out a branch or a cattail and let loose with their unmistakable call. This handsome fellow was kind enough to provide a nice demonstration this past weekend.
