A fun encounter with this little least sandpiper. It was working its way along the shore, occasionally calling, and allowing me to be quite close to it. At one point, it hopped up on this rock and the calm waters provided a good opportunity to get the bird and its reflection.
I don’t normally have the patience to photograph “little birds” but if they give me a good chance, like this one did, I will certainly take the shot. Note that I am pretty sure this is a least sandpiper. There are a few, similar sandpipers but I think that is correct. If not, please let me know.
