Save some for me!

A male bald eagle lets his mate know he is ready for his share. A fun scene from this past weekend. The female bald eagle was eating a carcass (appeared to be a Canada goose) while the male sat 10 feet away.

After a time, he took a brief flight and landed right next to her. It seemed she sensed she needed to share so she walked away while he ambled up and dined as well. A marriage of cooperation clearly!

Certainly I wish they were feasting on something other than goose due to the dangers of bird flu but it was a fun scene to witness.
