A pretty neat capture from this past weekend. The male Bald Eagle at this nest was quite content to just sit and he did so for more than two hours. His mate came, paid him a visit, and he still just sat.
Finally, just as I was packing up and getting ready to give up, he started to show signs that he might be ready to do something and indeed he did. I put my camera up to my eye and almost instantly he took flight giving me a nice sequence of images, this one being my favorite. Such a magnificent creature!
