It’s about dang time! A fresh fox from yesterday at my favorite spot for trying to see them. It had been way back since August 4th that I last spotted one here and I was growing concerned. Since then I had made probably dozen visits to the area and saw no foxes. I did, however, twice see coyotes and as they and foxes generally are enemies, I feared the worst.
I was hiking around, hoping to spot one and on a hill about 100 yards away, there was the beautiful red one. It spotted me immediately and paused briefly to size me up and then ran off into the brush. I only managed a couple quick pics but I am very happy to know they are still in the area. My hope is renewed for another spring and summer with them.
