I think both he and I were a bit surprised by the other’s presence. I was keeping an eye on a hilltop, contemplating if any deer were hanging out on the other side. Sure enough, up pops this handsome fellow, giving me a fun look. He looked pretty darned nice in the golden morning light and sporting those velvet covered antlers.
