One of the most famous grizzly bears in America’s first national park, harkening back to a drizzly, dreary June morning last year. I’ve shared a couple pics from this encounter previously, but this is a fresh one.
She was lying on a log, just taking a morning nap in an area she is known to frequent. Finally, she decided it was time to move and as she did, she sat up nicely giving me this shot. Her cub was actually tucked in behind her, out of view. It was a long shot under clearly poor lighting conditions but still a fun one. It certainly gives you a nice look at those deadly claws of hers.
