Signs of bald eagle season starting this past weekend as I was fortunate enough to have a couple encounters. This was the most notable one.
This three year old eagle had caught itself a nice prairie dog meal. It gave a ton of cool poses as it ate and kept watch. When it decided it was done modeling, it took flight, giving me a great sequence of images. Of those, this is my favorite. I always love this pose as it seems so aggressive and the focused, serious look on the eagle’s face with its meal in its talons make for a cool capture.
