Certainly, I photograph tons of bald eagles but this one gave me some fantastic shots in beautiful evening light with the mountains across Kachemak Bay as a backdrop. Having failed at an attempt to steal a fisherman’s catch, she perched on the nearby rocks evaluating her dinner options. I got some fantastic poses and when she launched, I captured a cool sequence of which this is one image from that series.
