
No, no, just kidding! Don’t freak out! I am sure it was a weather / scientific balloon of some sort.
The US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder Colorado regularly launches balloons to get a read on current atmospheric conditions, but this doesn’t look quite like those. However, last year, similar looking balloons from World View carrying instruments from NASA were seen over Colorado, measuring solar radiation.
I spotted it Sunday in Rocky Mountain National Park near the top of Trail Ridge Road. If anyone has any details, I would love to learn more. In the meantime, don’t worry, I don’t think we were being spied on. Well, at least I hope not. 😀
