I went for a quick drive after work not too far from Denver International Airport. Initially I was discouraged but then came across this little guy hanging out. He was quite willing to let me snap away and gave me a number of decent images.
American Kestrels are the smallest falcons in North America but don’t let their size fool you – like most raptors they can be quite vicious when in pursuit of a meal.
