Going back to February for this Freedom Friday image.
A little pond was the center of attention for several bald eagles taking advantage of thawing ice and a bevy of fish. This beautiful bald eagle was patrolling, circling and waiting for its unsuspecting prey to show itself. Suddenly, the opportunity it had been waiting for presented itself and it tucked its wings back and dove toward the water’s surface.
This image shows it just as it began that dive. A unique pose that you don’t normally see with some gorgeous light and very good detail. The focus and intensity of the eagle’s face is just awesome!
