A golden sunrise on a beautiful fall morning coupled with our nation’s emblem. Such was the scene last Saturday west of Longmont, Colorado. It doesn’t get a whole lot better than that.

This is the female from a nested pair of eagles in the area as she relaxed and enjoyed the sunrise. I of course wished for more action but her and her mate are rarely cooperative and when she did take flight, she did so in a direction that prevented me from getting any pictures. Sigh.

I am still anxiously awaiting the arrival of seasonal Bald Eagles that call the Colorado Front Range home during the winter. We should start seeing them any time now – at least I sure hope so! If you live in the area and happen to see any, please do let me know. Have a great weekend!
