I’ve started my prep-work for my end of year photo projects and in going through my images, I happened across this previously unshared gem.
Taken on February 6 at one of the bald eagle nests I watch, it was a very eventful morning. The adults enjoyed some time working on “making babies” and then set about maintaining the family home.
Here, the male returns to the nest with some (unseen) grass in its talons. Most of the time you see pics of the underside of the bird when it is in flight so I really like this one where the eagle was banking toward me. You get a nice look at its back and that gorgeous plumage.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
