Oh, my. That look!
This is the male at my favorite bald eagle nest, taken back in March. At that point, the missus had just laid her eggs and they were preparing for the new arrivals.
While she took up the bulk of the duty keeping the eggs warm, he was tasked with nest maintenance and bringing in food for her. Taking a break from his duties, he perched on their favorite nest-side branch, giving me a very serious look.
They successfully fledged one new eagle in the summer, a testament to the amazing rebound of this once endangered species. Have a fantastic Friday (TGIF!) and weekend!
