After giving me a couple, quick poses, this beautiful symbol of our nation decided it preferred to stay out of the limelight and headed off to more private environs.
Taken a couple of weeks ago, I haven’t had much opportunity to photograph my favorite photo subject. At this time of year here in Colorado, the eagles are pretty spread out as any young ones have fledged and all are just kind of doing their own thing separately.
In the next couple of months though, the number of eagles will start to swell as seasonal visitors arrive from the north for the winter. I can’t wait!
