It has been far too long since I have visited my little friends so this image goes back to April, soon after they burrowing owls returned to the Colorado plains.
Having staked out their summer home, the adults were hanging out, doing some hunting. At one point, the male flew closer to me, giving me some nice captures including this one just before it landed. I love the eye contact it displayed here.
