An extraordinarily beautiful Ferruginous Hawk is seen right after launching into the air.  As one of my favorite raptors, I never pass up an opportunity to take pictures of these.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to come across this one that almost seemed to sense exactly what I was wanting.  It was perched on a utility pole and sat calmly while I got into position and ready to take pictures.  Then it launched into the air allowing me to capture it in all its glory.  It moved to the next pole and it and I repeated the sequence again, and again.  Amazing!
