Female coyote relaxes in the morning sun

This morning I came across a pair of extraordinarily tolerant coyotes. The female in particular couldn’t of cared less about my presence, even laying down to take a nap while I watched.

In all I spent 45 minutes observing the pair and it probably could have been longer if I had wanted to keep hanging around. In these pictures, the female takes in the early morning sun and wasn’t too motivated to get out and about. Perhaps the change to Daylight Saving Time messed with her sleep? 😉
