This is the same young Bald Eagle I posted pictures of this past Sunday chowing down on a prairie dog. It was eating on top of a utility pole when it dropped its breakfast. Much to my surprise, it flew down from its perch and landed 30 feet away from me in search of its fallen meal.

It walked around trying to find it but it had no luck and there was little left of it anyway. It soon took off but when I returned to the same spot an hour or so later, it was on the same pole enjoying yet another rodent. You can view the entire set of images here.
