It is tough to beat this capture – a fantastic subject in some absolutely amazing early morning light. The owl and two of its siblings were hanging out in a stand of trees and provided me some amazing opportunities on this morning. It was quite nonplussed by my presence and in fact seemed curious about the guy walking around with the big camera. The owl allowed me to get into a prime position to get this capture, just sitting and intently posing. You get a good look at that beautiful plumage and those deadly talons.
