I smell you!

It’s Moose Monday and I have a fresh pic of one for you.

On a long ATV ride in Colorado’s high country Saturday, we kept coming across wet areas with lots of willows and I was telling my family, “There have to be moose here.”

As we start the return trip to camp what do we find? Two bulls and two cows grazing in the mid-afternoon.

I didn’t have my ‘good’ camera so we raced the remaining seven miles back to camp, then my wife and I headed back to the spot with DSLR in hand and thankfully the four were still there.

With all the motorized traffic they were a bit apprehensive and certainly well aware of the attention they were getting. Here, the smaller of the two bulls seems to have picked up on my scent as I snapped its picture.
