Juvenile Bald Eagle gives close up flyby

This absolutely gorgeous young eagle is seen passing about 30 feet in front of and above me soon after it left its perch.  I think it was a bit surprised to find me standing and watching from where I was but it sure made for an extraordinary picture.

This juvenile is probably between two and three years old.  It isn’t until the eagle is about five years old that it will completely have its more recognizable dark body and wings and the distinctive white head and yellow beak.
