An adult bald eagle let’s a young one know who is in charge at this spot. A fun capture from a couple weekends ago. I decided to just stay local and check some open space areas not too far from home.
One spot was seeing a lot of eagles but most too far off. I spotted this two to three year old hanging out on some ice on a pond and hiked in for a closer look. I am glad I did as soon, an adult arrived and a little bit of action ensued.
Rather than being content to land nearby, the adult decided it wanted that same spot as the young one. As it approached, it flew right over the young one and dropped down, startling junior and making for this fun capture.
