The deer rut is in full swing and I was very lucky to capture some of the action yesterday. While making a lunchtime stop at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, Colorado, I saw a bunch of motion just outside the perimeter fence. I sped to the area and, while shooting through the fence, was able to capture to very large Mule Deer bucks in a heated battle. It was extraordinary, even if the fence and bushes got in the way.
