I’m not sure if the big boy was playing a game with me or thinking those little trees would camouflage him from my view. I happened across this fellow and his buddy initially in the open but then they moved to a small stand of aspen trees for breakfast. The other stayed well buried in the trees but this guy stayed on the perimeter, allowing me to get some shots. This one I thought was kind of fun.
I was impressed with my new Canon EOS R5 Mark II’s ability to lock onto his eye despite all the obstructions in the way.
