Out for a drive yesterday east of Denver and I spotted this raptor. It was quite tolerant of my presence, probably because it appears to be a young one and hasn’t gotten a healthy fear of humans yet. After leaving a nearby power pole, it perched on a post and let me get within about 20 feet of it.
