One of many beautiful scenes to be found at Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.
I could see where this lake, on an ideal day, would be even more impressive and beautiful than its more famous neighbor, Lake Louise. However, on the day we visited, clouds intruded and breezy winds kicked up the lake’s surface preventing a nice reflection from appearing. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful view.
The lake is fed by glaciers and snowmelt and has the beautiful green color caused by rock flour. In the background is the Valley of Ten Peaks, a series of rugged mountains all at above 10,000 feet.
