Someplace new for us so let’s call it #MoabMonday! My wife and I headed out this past week for a short vacation to the Moab, Utah area, an area I hadn’t visited since I was a kid.

Initially the weather was a challenge with a snowstorm arriving in Canyonlands National Park in the morning this picture was taken. Unfortunately, that limited my photo ops but in the late afternoon, we headed out on a 4-wheel-drive trail to try again. This area, near Gemini Bridges, proved to be quite photogenic and the clouds from the clearing storm helped accentuate the scene.

It was a great, short trip but, in the end, you won’t see too many pictures from it. We had to cut it short to rush home as our geriatric border collie, Scout, had some medical issues we felt we needed to be home for just in case. It turns out it is geriatric vestibular disease for those that are curious. He is improving now, thankfully, but we also recognize his time with us has far fewer days ahead than behind. I’m not sure I am ready for that.
